California Palace of the Legion of Honor
This neoclassical structure is an exact replica (although a bit smaller) of the Legion of Honor Palace in Paris, and houses one of the finest collections of European art in the United States. Perched on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Marin Headlands, the Legion of Honor is home to Alma's collection of Rodin sculptures, said to be second only to the Musée Rodin in Paris. The upper level has 20 galleries in all which house the permanent collection.

The Lower Level was recently added, providing room for the Achenbach Foundation graphics collection, an exceptional trove of modern and contemporary works on paper; the Reva and David Logan Collection of illustrated books, including many European masterworks; and the porcelain collection. 6 additional galleries provide ample space for frequent temporary exhibitions of European masterpieces. On weekends there is a pipe organ concert at the Museum. The facility also includes a gift shop and a cafe.
