San Francisco Ballet
From February through May the San Francisco Ballet delights audiences with classical full-length ballets such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. But the company is also receiving rave reviews for its presentation of newer experimental works and "modern classics" by Robbins and others. Every December, to the delight of tourists and locals who return each year, the San Francisco Ballet presents one of the most spectacular performances of the Christmas classic, the Nutcracker, in the nation. This is a delightful way to introduce the younger members of your family to the ballet.

The company is in residence at the War Memorial Opera House, a magnificent state of the art facility, rich in history and tradition. One of the most technologically advanced performing arts centers in the world, the Opera House has recently undergone structural seismic fortifications and a facelift to its beautiful interior.
