San Francisco Lesbian Clubs
While many of San Francisco's gay clubs cater to both men and women, there are a few places where women will feel very much at home. The Lexington Club is San Francisco's only lesbian-owned-and-operated bar that's open every night of the week; low key, but inviting. Wild Side West is a neighborhood bar with a strong lesbian clientele - a great place to relax with friends. The Mint has a higher energy, and a karaoke that provides fun for boys and girls. Although no longer exclusively lesbian, The Cafe is still the most girl-friendly bar in the Castro.
If you want to dance you may be surprised to learn that the best all-girl moves are now happening in some boy bars. Fridays at the Stud are for ladies, as are Saturdays at the EndUp. Finish up the weekend by spending Sundays at 26 Mix. Most clubs have a heavy schedule of theme nights and special events, but don't worry - this is San Francisco - you are always welcome just as you are.
