San Francisco Nightlife
San Francisco nightlife is as varied as San Francisco, and San Francisco bars, clubs and lounges are for the most part localized in different areas. For electronic music clubs, hip hop and chill art lounges, try South of Market (SoMa). Ten 15 Folsom and 111 Minna Street Gallery should get your attention. If you are into hipsters and rockers, then head to Mission district for some quirky bars that range from downright nasty to secret gems. You never know what you will find here. The Marina district is more elegant but there is no shortage of debauchery at places like East Side West or the Hi Fi Lounge. From the Civic Center to Russian Hill, Polk may be the best district of all. You can amble for piano bars to yuppie bars to rocker bars to gay bars and everything in between and on the fringes. While you are there be sure to check out the Hemlock Tavern, Overflo and the Julip. Finish the night off in North Beach where the party doesn't stop till the wee hours of the morning in some trendy hideaway spots.
